Our Statement of Faith
Scriptures
We firmly believe that the Bible is the Word of God. The Bible, including both Old and New Testaments, is the inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word of God. The Scripture is the final Authority in all matters of Faith and practice.
We affirm that all Scripture is "God-breathed" (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. We believe the Holy Spirit guided the human authors so that what they wrote are the very words of God, perfect in truth and wisdom, completely free from error in the original manuscripts.
Sovereign God
We believe in one and unique God eternally existent, infinite, creator and sovereign Ruler of the universe; We believe in one God (monotheistic) as revealed in the Shema. Our belief in a monotheistic God does not contradict the New Testament revelation of God as a triune being who is manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We affirm that God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and present everywhere. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, and love. God exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each possessing all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality. While distinct in their roles and relationships, they are one in essence, nature, power, and purpose.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We affirm that Jesus lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and taught with divine authority. His substitutionary death on the cross provided atonement for our sins. We believe in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal, visible return in power and glory.
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity, fully divine and equal with the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates believers, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, indwells them permanently, seals them unto the day of redemption, and empowers them for sanctification and service. We believe in the gifts of the Spirit for the edification of the Church and the advancement of God's Kingdom.
Salvation
We believe in repentance, justification, new birth, water baptism, sanctification, and baptism of the Holy Spirit. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, who grants full pardon to all who sincerely believe in Him and receive Him as Savior and Lord.
We affirm that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift from God, not earned by human works or merit. True salvation results in regeneration (being born again), justification (being declared righteous before God), sanctification (growing in Christlikeness), and ultimately glorification (being transformed into Christ's perfect image). We believe that all who are truly saved are kept secure in Christ forever.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all persons who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit, have trusted in Jesus Christ as Savior, and have been baptized into Him. The Church exists to worship and glorify God, to nurture believers through teaching and fellowship, and to proclaim the gospel to the world. We affirm that Christ is the Head of the Church and that believers should gather regularly for worship, instruction, fellowship, and service.
Humanity
We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but fell into sin through Adam's disobedience. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and are separated from God, in need of salvation. Despite this fallen condition, every human being is created in God's image and therefore possesses dignity and worth. We affirm that God created humanity as male and female, each reflecting His image in complementary ways.
Second Coming
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ Himself is coming again in the air at any moment to catch up His Church and to reward their service, followed by the Tribulation period and His visible return to establish His Kingdom.
We affirm that this blessed hope should motivate believers to godly living, sacrificial service, and fervent evangelism. We believe that after Christ's return, He will establish His millennial kingdom on earth, followed by the final judgment of all people. The unrighteous will face eternal conscious punishment, while the righteous will enjoy eternal fellowship with God in the new heavens and new earth.
Christian Living
We believe that Christians are called to live holy lives in obedience to Scripture and in the power of the Holy Spirit. True faith is demonstrated through good works, though these works do not earn salvation. We affirm that believers should demonstrate love for God and others, pursue personal holiness, maintain sexual purity, seek justice, show compassion to those in need, and share the gospel. Christians are citizens of heaven while also being responsible citizens on earth, submitting to governing authorities except when such submission would contradict biblical commands.
Eternal Life
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—the saved unto eternal life in heaven and the lost unto eternal separation from God in hell. After death, believers immediately enter into conscious fellowship with the Lord, while awaiting the resurrection of their bodies. We affirm that God will create new heavens and a new earth where righteousness dwells and where His people will live in His presence forever, free from sin, suffering, and death.
